This lesson uses a special scale. It has two pans on the left, one above the other, and one pan on the right.
The two left pans hold the two amounts we're adding together. The right pan holds the answer, called the sum.
We'll put weights on the left pans for you to add. Then you make the scale balance and write down what you see, just like before.
